Jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the fifth edition of the Belt and Road Summit was themed "A Business Vision for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future". It featured practical topics, ranging from infrastructure development and financing, risk management and legal issues, innovation and technology collaborations, manufacturing in and selling to Belt and Road markets, as well as Greater Bay Area opportunities. In the Summit, you can also establish new connections via our networking and business matching events.
The Honourable Mrs Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, delivered her Policy Address to the Legislative Council in November.
Every year, the Hong Kong business community was hosted a luncheon for over 1 000 executives to hear the Chief Executive elaborate on the Policy Address. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, this is not possible this year. However, we are deeply honoured that Mrs Lam has accepted our invitation to speak to the Hong Kong business community via Zoom on 10 December. Attendees were heard Mrs Lam explain the priorities of her latest Policy Address, and learn more about her initiatives to support the economy and people's livelihoods during this challenging time.
BIP Asia Online Forum 2020 had online in its 10th edition on 3-4 December 2020. Being one of the leading IP events in Asia, the BIP Asia Forum bought together worldwide IP professionals and business leaders to discuss the latest IP development and explored business opportunities. The Forum, entitled "Open Innovation: Driving Collaboration in Times of Change" focused on how open innovation drive businesses to collaborate with their partners and accelerate technological development through IP under a changing era.
