The inaugural China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) in Beijing from 28 November to 2 December 2023. This event is a concrete step in ensuring the stability and smooth operation of global industrial and supply chains, as well as a public good to promote the sound and sustainable development of economic globalization.
Under the theme “Connecting the World for a Shared Future”, CISCE stood as the world’s first national-level exhibition focused on the supply chain. As a convergence of trade promotion, investment cooperation, innovation cultivation, and knowledge exchange, the expo was dedicated to establishing an international, high-level collaborative platform that seamlessly links upstream, midstream, and downstream entities, facilitates communication between enterprises of varying sizes, fosters synergy between academia and industry, and encourages interaction between domestic and foreign companies. Spanning an expansive 100,000 square meters, the inaugural CISCE featured five major supply chain segments—Smart Vehicle, Green Agriculture, Clean Energy, Digital Technology, and Healthy Life—alongside a Supply Chain Service Exhibition Area.
During the CISCE, Opening Ceremony of CISCE & Global Supply Chain Innovation and Development Forum will be held, featuring six thematic forums – “Modern Smart Vehicles Shape New Industrial Landscape”, “Green Agricultural Development for Future Prosperity”, “International Collaboration for Clean Energy Supply Chains”, “New Technology and New Industry for New Life”, “New Trends, New Power, and New Vision for Comprehensive Health” and “Sustainable Development of Supply Chain Management”. Leaders from relevant government departments,
representatives of international organizations and well-known businesses, as well as experts and scholars convened to deliberate on development cooperation strategies and explore avenues to collectively shape a secure, stable, efficient, open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial global industrial and supply chain system.
