Belt and Road Summit 2025
The 10th edition of the Belt and Road Summit, which had been jointly organized by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, had been held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) on 10-11 September 2025.
Since its inception in 2016, the Summit had gathered senior government officials and influential business leaders from countries and regions along and beyond the Belt and Road to exchange insights on multilateral collaboration and explore concrete partnerships. The ninth edition in 2024 had drawn over 100 delegations and some 6,000 key government officials, business leaders, and representatives of enterprises from over 70 countries and regions.
As the Belt and Road Summit had marked its tenth anniversary, the pursuit of multi-dimensional connectivity and the development of an open world economy had continued to be key for the international business community to capture opportunities amid a fast-evolving global landscape. The upcoming Summit had aimed to build on the achievements of the past years to explore areas with promising prospects arising from the Belt and Road Initiative, connect potential business partners along the Belt and Road, and facilitate concrete partnerships, fully leveraging Hong Kong’s long-established position as an effective commercial platform for Belt and Road opportunities, as well as the city’s role as both a “super-connector” and a “super value-adder” for global businesses.
